Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale a diverse, fully remote global engineering organization.
• Drive organizational design by structuring engineering pods for maximum autonomy and alignment.
• Oversee the architectural integrity, security, and performance of high-volume, low-latency ad tech infrastructure.
• Execute a strategic mandate to integrate AI-augmented development tools into the SDLC to reduce developer toil.
• Establish and monitor core engineering metrics, such as DORA or SPACE frameworks, to optimize delivery velocity.
• Partner with Product Management to ensure engineering teams are focused on customer outcomes and high-quality delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing Engineering Managers.
• Proven track record of managing and scaling highly aligned, 100% remote engineering teams.
• Experience in SaaS, Ad Tech, or high-data volume/high-scale distributed systems environments.
• Deep understanding of modern cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong familiarity with DORA or SPACE metrics and engineering productivity frameworks.
• Practical understanding of how to leverage AI tools to improve engineering workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a small-to-medium sized company or startup environment.
• Direct experience with programmatic advertising or publisher monetization.
