About the Company

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture across the Exchange domain and write production code in high-leverage parts of the system
  • Build exchange components including matching engines, risk engines, settlement, and data indexing
  • Lead the engineering organization, managing senior engineers, pods, timelines, and roadmaps
  • Drive product and customer outcomes with a business-minded approach
  • Own end-to-end automation of engineering processes, including agent infrastructure and observability
  • Manage an international, distributed workforce and design team structures
  • Drive quality infrastructure through telemetry, observability, and thorough automated testing
  • Grow individual contributors and tech leads

Requirements

  • 8+ years of building production software
  • 2+ years in an engineering leadership capacity (Tech Lead, Staff, Principal, or Architect)
  • Proven experience with high-throughput, low-latency, and concurrent/parallel systems
  • Deep hands-on fluency in Rust, Go, Next.js/TS or Node, and GCP
  • Strong architecture skills regarding correctness, latency, and throughput trade-offs
  • Experience with exchange-specific or comparable transaction-processing architecture
  • Fluent written and spoken English with ability to overlap with US Pacific time
  • AI-forward mindset with excitement for using AI tools and automation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with exchanges or trading systems
  • Experience standing up engineering practices (CI/CD, observability, on-call) in fast-growing orgs
  • Experience building automation, internal dev platforms, or agentic workflow tooling
  • Background as a founding or early engineer at a high-velocity startup
  • Contributions to open-source projects in Rust, Go, or systems programming
