Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering organization
• Partner with the CTO to define and execute technical strategy and engineering roadmaps
• Own engineering execution across multiple teams to deliver high-quality products
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, scalability, reliability, and security
• Recruit and retain exceptional engineering talent, including managers and senior leaders
• Balance near-term product delivery with long-term infrastructure and platform investments

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with significant leadership experience
• Proven experience managing engineering managers and senior engineers
• Strong Computer Science and software engineering fundamentals
• Track record of building and scaling reliable, customer-facing software products
• Experience designing and evolving distributed systems
• Strong product sense and ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or highly regulated financial systems
• Experience building products at significant consumer scale
• Experience leading teams through rapid growth or organizational change
• Experience with mobile-first consumer products
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes
