Director of Finance & Billing Operations

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end billing, invoicing, collections, and payment reconciliation across all customer segments
• Manage billing operations for SaaS, usage-based services, hardware, and professional services
• Establish scalable billing policies, controls, workflows, and documentation
• Drive collections performance, cash flow optimization, and DSO improvement
• Partner with Accounting on month-end close, reconciliations, and revenue reporting
• Manage Avalara sales tax compliance and exemption processing
• Design and improve Quote-to-Cash processes in partnership with Sales, RevOps, and Engineering
• Serve as the primary business owner and SME for NetSuite, configuring workflows and automation
• Deliver billing and revenue reporting including ARR, MRR, and deferred revenue

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Billing, Finance, or Revenue Operations within B2B SaaS
• 5+ years of management experience in billing or order-to-cash functions
• 4+ years of deep hands-on NetSuite expertise including configuration and automation
• Demonstrated experience billing across multiple revenue streams (SaaS, consumption, hardware)
• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce
• Solid understanding of ASC 606, deferred revenue, and revenue schedules
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Avalara or similar tax automation platforms
• Familiarity with Mulesoft or similar integration technologies
• Experience with Tableau or other BI tools
• Experience with Ironclad or other CLM platforms
• Background in media, advertising, or licensing-driven businesses
