About the Company

EducationSuperHighway is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit that closed the K-12 broadband gap, connecting 99.3% of America's public schools to high-speed internet. Now, the organization is working to close the nation's literacy gap by providing literacy tutoring scholarships to first-grade students reading below grade level.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build end-to-end donation processing infrastructure and optimize the donation platform stack
  • Act as the internal expert on EFTC compliance, managing documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting across all 50 states
  • Develop donor acknowledgment and tax documentation processes to ensure legal compliance
  • Manage financial flows from donated funds to scholarship disbursements, including controls and audit trails
  • Build financial dashboards for real-time visibility into donation volume, revenue, and fund utilization
  • Develop internal controls frameworks and manage the annual audit process
  • Build integrations between CRM systems, donation platforms, and financial accounting systems
  • Define team structure and recruit/manage team members as donation volume scales

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in non-profit finance, donation operations, or operational finance
  • Proven experience building financial operations, controls, and compliance infrastructure from scratch
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and donor acknowledgment
  • Experience with donation processing platforms, payment systems, and reconciliation workflows
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to operate effectively in an early-stage environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) operations or educational tax credit programs
  • Familiarity with payroll giving processes and third-party platforms
  • Experience with Donor Advised Fund (DAF) processing and administration
  • Knowledge of multi-state charitable solicitation registration and compliance
  • CPA designation or equivalent financial credentials
