Director of IT Architecture

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive IT architecture strategy aligned with business, clinical, and operational goals
• Lead and manage a team specializing in network, cloud, and systems architecture
• Establish and enforce IT governance, standards, and best practices for HIPAA, HITECH, and HITRUST compliance
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies like microservices, AI, and ML
• Oversee Network Architecture to ensure secure and high-performance infrastructure
• Manage Cloud Architecture initiatives including hybrid and multi-cloud strategies
• Guide Systems Architecture development for core business and healthcare applications like Epic EHR/EMR
• Partner with IT Security to develop frameworks that protect patient data
• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate architecture effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT architecture
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing network, cloud, and systems architecture teams
• Strong experience with SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols
• Extensive experience with AWS and hybrid cloud solutioning
• Experience with platform visibility solutions such as DataDog, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Prometheus/Grafana

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Security Specialty certifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect certification
• CISSP, CCNP, HITRUST, or FinOps certifications
• Expertise in HL7, FHIR, and DICOM standards
