Director of Legal

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of commercial transactions, driving deals from draft to signature
• Build and scale contracting infrastructure, including templates, negotiation playbooks, and approval workflows
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer, partner, and vendor agreements
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Security, and Finance to structure business-aligned agreements
• Advise on privacy, data protection, and the evolving AI regulatory landscape
• Support the VP, General Counsel on a broad range of legal matters as the company expands

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active US state bar membership
• At least 5 years of legal experience managing complex commercial negotiations for technology companies
• Experience building contracting processes
• Working knowledge of privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA
• Ability to communicate complex legal analysis to non-legal stakeholders
• Generalist mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
