Director of Product Design and Research

Responsibilities

• Own and uphold design and research processes, tooling, standards, and craft
• Drive the user experience perspective for how technologists interact with knowledge
• Evolve the team’s AI-first design practice and maintain the concept-to-code pipeline
• Coach designers and researchers in career growth and leadership development
• Build a high-trust, feedback-driven culture with autonomy and accountability
• Coauthor product strategy and advocate for user and customer needs
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders as part of the EPD leadership team
• Build and maintain research infrastructure to drive product decisions

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio
• 4+ years of experience leading and managing design or research teams
• Background in B2B or enterprise products, ideally in AI-native environments
• Experience designing for AI-native or AI-augmented products
• Proficiency in functional prototyping and working at the intersection of design and code
• Exceptional UI, visual design judgment, and research deployment skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
