Director of Product Engineering

Aduro is a modern, innovative fund administration platform backed by deep industry experience. We are building an AI-forward platform for regulated fund-administration data, where auditability, correctness, and data stewardship are first-class concerns.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers at all levels, focusing on empowering Lead Developers.
• Foster an inclusive, high-trust environment and maintain team alignment through growth and change.
• Refine engineering processes, including Agile/Scrum, code review, and delivery workflows.
• Set architectural direction and own the governance model for agentic systems, including security and reliability guardrails.
• Operationalize AI across the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) with clear standards for quality and review.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data Engineering to align capacity with business goals.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and career development frameworks.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with 6+ years in engineering leadership roles.
• Experience leading through other leaders (Engineering Managers, Lead Developers, or Staff+ engineers).
• Proven track record in the full people-leadership cycle: hiring, performance management, and coaching.
• Experience building durable engineering processes like sprint rituals and incident management.
• Demonstrated experience operationalizing AI across an SDLC at scale.
• Ability to engage in architectural discussions and technical trade-offs without being a hands-on developer.
• Experience guiding teams through organizational or technical transitions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a growth-stage or mid-size technology company.
• Background in fund administration, fintech, or a regulated/data-sensitive domain.
• Familiarity with agentic architectures, evaluation/benchmarking practices, or AI cost optimization.
