Director of Safety & Training

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide safety programs and OSHA compliance
• Conduct safety audits, field observations, and jobsite inspections
• Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions
• Create and maintain onboarding and role-specific technical training programs
• Oversee training for installers, electricians, and service technicians
• Develop leadership training for supervisors and managers
• Monitor safety KPIs and maintain regulatory documentation
• Collaborate with Operations, Construction, and HR to standardize procedures

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in construction, electrical, or solar operations
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
• Experience developing and delivering employee training programs
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and training management systems
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Solar industry experience
• OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 500 or OSHA Outreach Trainer preferred)
• CPR/First Aid Instructor certification
• Experience developing company-wide safety manuals and SOPs
• Experience managing multi-state field operations
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or Business
