Director of Software Architecture

Hometap is on a mission to make homeownership less stressful and more accessible. Their home equity investment product provides homeowners with a fast, simple, and straightforward way to access the equity in their home without taking out a loan or having to sell.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of architects and contribute to organization-wide technology implementations
• Lead the identification and leverage of AI and generative AI across the company
• Mentor architects and drive the evolution of architecture methodology
• Identify architectural investment needs based on the product roadmap
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering Management to prioritize and execute work
• Communicate architectural efforts and technology vision to all levels of the company
• Participate in technical brainstorming and engineering process improvements

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Substantial experience in a Software Architect position
• People management experience
• Expert understanding of SDLC, cloud architectures, and AWS
• Knowledge of AI/ML tooling, MVC systems, DevOps, and service observability
• Ability to build a long-term technology vision
• Strong collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Salesforce integrations
• Experience with Django/Python
• Experience with React
