Director, Procurement

Responsibilities

• Design and lead Carrot's global procurement strategy across technology, clinical providers, professional services, and operations
• Build scalable sourcing, contract management, and spend control processes
• Drive competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs) and lead negotiations to deliver cost savings
• Implement vendor performance measurement (KPIs, SLAs) and risk frameworks
• Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure vendor contracts meet compliance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements
• Own procurement policies, approval workflows, and internal training
• Lead the selection and rollout of procurement technology
• Deliver quarterly reporting on vendor spend and procurement KPIs

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management
• Experience in high-growth SaaS, healthcare, or benefits organizations
• Proven track record of building procurement functions from the ground up
• Strong contract negotiation experience (SaaS, clinical services, global vendors)
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR)
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Zip procurement platform
• Experience supporting IPO readiness or public company financial controls
• Background partnering with clinical or healthcare vendor networks
