About the Company

Definium Therapeutics is a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company on a mission to forge a new era of psychiatry by applying scientific rigor to psychedelics. Headquartered in New York and traded on Nasdaq, the company is developing accessible treatments for generalized anxiety, major depressive disorder, PTSD, and autism spectrum disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of integrated communications programs for the late-stage pipeline
  • Serve as the communications lead for commercial product teams
  • Establish collaborative relationships with R&D, medical affairs, regulatory, and brand teams
  • Direct multiplatform PESO (paid, earned, social, owned) communications campaigns
  • Develop media relations plans and maintain journalist relationships
  • Implement sophisticated social and digital efforts to educate and shape the market
  • Support KPI and measurement framework development
  • Lead reputation and issues preparedness planning, including scenario planning and Q&A
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to translate complex scientific information into compliant communications
  • Manage PR agencies to ensure high-quality, strategically aligned work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 10 years in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Experience in product communications, ideally with CNS, psychiatry, or neurology
  • Significant experience in clinical data communications
  • Previous in-house and agency experience
  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare landscape, regulatory policy, and market access
  • Experience managing agencies and budgets
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advising senior leaders with strong executive presence
  • Ability to incorporate AI and data into planning and measurement efforts
