Director Project Development, Data Centers

Responsibilities

• Originate, evaluate, and advance data center land sites from inception through development, including site control, zoning, and permitting
• Lead site-level diligence for land opportunities, including environmental constraints, utility availability, and infrastructure
• Develop and execute land acquisition strategies, negotiating options, leases, and purchase agreements
• Coordinate with engineering, legal, and finance teams to advance projects to NTP
• Manage vendors and project budgets through SAP
• Interface with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and regulatory entities regarding interconnection and service agreements
• Assess infrastructure readiness including electric, water, gas, and fiber connectivity

Requirements

• BS and/or BA degree required
• 5+ years of relevant utility-scale project development experience
• Deep understanding of U.S. utility-scale solar and energy storage markets
• Experience advancing projects through site origination, land control, entitlements, and permitting
• Knowledge of interconnection processes from application through LGIA finalization
• Familiarity with grid analysis and interconnection studies
• Experience in landowner negotiations and real estate documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree
• Familiarity with data center land development trends
