Director, Site Start Up

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Site Start-up (SSU) department regarding project delivery, human resources, and process optimization
• Support the management of site start-up delivery including IRB/EC/CA submissions and site contract/budget negotiations
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Project Management, and Business Development to ensure successful SSU execution and client satisfaction
• Develop, measure, and report SSU KPIs to drive continuous improvement
• Manage escalations and remediation of SSU concerns effectively
• Partner with Global Resourcing teams to manage team members and meet cost, time, and quality goals
• Support SSU team career development, growth, and succession planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field
• Minimum of 12 years in clinical research with extensive Site Start-up experience
• Proven leadership experience and track record in managing teams and resources
• Expert knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical software (CTMS, eTMF, EDC)
• Strong strategic planning, risk management, and change management skills
• Fluency in English
