Director, STAQ

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the STAQ strategy, including project prioritization frameworks and value-realization tracking
• Own the end-to-end Special Project Case (SPC) pipeline from intake and triage to development hand-off and post-implementation lookback
• Lead cross-functional Special Project Reviews and architecture-collaboration sessions to align priorities
• Govern solution architecture and data-quality standards to ensure pipeline reliability and value
• Lead, coach, and develop the STAQ team, including Business Process Operations Managers and Engineers
• Manage the STAQ budget and capacity plan, balancing demand against available staffing
• Communicate with executive stakeholders to align department portfolios with enterprise strategy
• Research emerging technologies like automation and analytics for business applicability

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology delivery, business operations, or process improvement
• Proven team leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field (Engineering, Computer/Data Science, Information Systems, or Business)
• Experience delivering technology programs or products from inception through post-launch
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Conceptual fluency in data structures, analytics, and solution architecture
• Experience managing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
• Comfort working with technical projects and oil & gas business applications
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading Salesforce-based business processes and custom solutions
• Experience with data tools and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Databricks
• Engineering or operational experience in the oil & gas industry
• Experience leading a portfolio, delivery, or business-process function
