Definium Therapeutics is a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company on a mission to forge a new era of psychiatry by applying scientific rigor to psychedelics. The company aims to develop accessible treatments for generalized anxiety, major depressive disorder, and PTSD.

Responsibilities

• Monitor state legislation and regulatory activities to advise on potential impacts to the company
• Develop and execute strategies to shape state policy through direct lobbying and engagement of third-party coalitions
• Create proactive and reactive policy agendas to support the product pipeline
• Assess the public policy environment to recommend legislative or regulatory actions
• Build stakeholder partnerships and advocacy coalitions to advance mental health awareness and patient access
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure policy strategies support commercial and regulatory objectives

Requirements

• Minimum BS or BA degree
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Government, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, or Policy
• Extensive knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, including finance, payment structures, and benefit design
• Proven ability to execute comprehensive government affairs strategies with elected officials
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical company or healthcare trade association
• Subject matter expertise in general healthcare issues
