Director, Technical Program Management

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the release management process across engineering to ensure high-quality software releases
• Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity, workflows, and tooling such as CI/CD and observability
• Define and govern a portfolio of cross-functional programs spanning release management, QA, and DevOps
• Partner with senior engineering and product leaders to align roadmaps and priorities
• Establish scalable planning, governance, and reporting mechanisms using agile frameworks and Jira
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing program management and release management function
• Champion AI-driven automation and analytics in release pipelines and developer tooling
• Deliver concise, actionable updates to executives and stakeholders regarding progress and risks

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in program or project management
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles (Director or equivalent)
• Proven track record leading release management and developer experience programs in cloud-native or SaaS organizations
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with engineering productivity tooling such as CI/CD, observability, and developer platforms
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs
• Skilled in agile methodologies and Jira/Atlassian ecosystem administration
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale release management across distributed engineering teams
• Expertise in developer experience platforms or internal platform engineering
• Certifications in Agile, Program Management, or Cloud Architecture (PMP, SAFe, AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Proficiency in Python or SQL for data-driven reporting
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AI-driven automation
