Dutch<>English OPI/VRI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Dutch<>English interpretation for OPI and VRI calls in healthcare and medical settings
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Apply professional standards of practice and interpreter code of conduct
• Take detailed notes during calls and maintain industry-specific vocabulary knowledge
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Professional interpretation certification
• Expertise in healthcare and medical vocabulary
• Dedicated wired internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload)
• Windows 10+ computer with Intel Core i5+ or equivalent dual-core 2 GHz processor
• 8GB RAM minimum with system set to "High Performance" mode
• Noise-cancelling wired headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth)
• Power adapter plugged in during operation; no battery-only use
