Economics Instructor

About the Company

Campus is seeking experienced, mission-driven, student-centered Economics Instructors to deliver high-impact, online courses. We are dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for students from all backgrounds, particularly those historically underserved by higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach 11-week live, synchronous, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within one to two business days
• Host weekly office hours
• Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course and mentor them on grading and engagement
• Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit evaluations
• Leverage embedded AI tools and modern pedagogical practices in the online classroom

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business, or a related field
• PhD or equivalent advanced degree is welcome
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate college/university level
• Demonstrated success teaching introductory Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills
• Comfort with digital tools, LMS, and video conferencing platforms
• Ability to commit 8-10 hours per week per course

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching in online, synchronous, or hybrid environments
• Ability to translate complex economic theories into real-world applications
• Willingness to integrate AI-powered tools into teaching
