Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical engineering duties related to the evaluation, design, and documentation of electrical systems for federal projects
• Develops constructible, code-compliant designs for power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems
• Prepares electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates
• Coordinates electrical design elements with other engineering disciplines and internal project teams
• Communicates project development and progress with project managers and federal clients
• Performs process design calculations and supports feasibility evaluations
• Maintains project documentation within the firm's Quality Management Program
• Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers as assigned
• Participates in project charrettes, design reviews, and may travel to project sites

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Ability to perform electrical engineering techniques and procedures independently
• Ability to travel to project sites and participate in design reviews

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and federal standards
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Advanced mathematical and analytical abilities
