Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and approval process for dry utility systems (power distribution, telco)
  • Produce master planning reports, demand/load calculations and tie-in requirements
  • Coordinate utility corridor proofing, ROW and interface with roads, transport, landscape and building teams
  • Design and specify primary substations, HV corridors, MV (up to 33kV) and LV networks
  • Design telecommunication infrastructure: ducts, manholes and GSM coverage considerations
  • Design street lighting, lighting calculations, SLDs and load schedules
  • Review contractor RFIs and key technical submittals; provide clarifications
  • Manage BIM workflows and digitalisation initiatives across projects
  • Lead and coordinate with local authorities across the Middle East (UAE, KSA, Qatar)
  • Supervise multidisciplinary and multicultural teams across project phases

Requirements

  • BSc Electrical
  • 5+ years
  • AutoCAD
  • BIM experience
  • Revit knowledge
  • UAE codes
  • Utility design
  • Load calculations
  • Telecom design
  • Site visits
  • Report writing
  • Stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred
  • Proven infrastructure engineering background on large-scale projects
  • Experience with primary substations, pocket/block substations and feeder pillars
  • Prior coordination experience with UAE/Abu Dhabi/Dubai/KSA/Qatar authorities
  • Strong digitalisation / BIM leadership and software skills
