Job description
Responsibilities
- Lead design and approval process for dry utility systems (power distribution, telco)
- Produce master planning reports, demand/load calculations and tie-in requirements
- Coordinate utility corridor proofing, ROW and interface with roads, transport, landscape and building teams
- Design and specify primary substations, HV corridors, MV (up to 33kV) and LV networks
- Design telecommunication infrastructure: ducts, manholes and GSM coverage considerations
- Design street lighting, lighting calculations, SLDs and load schedules
- Review contractor RFIs and key technical submittals; provide clarifications
- Manage BIM workflows and digitalisation initiatives across projects
- Lead and coordinate with local authorities across the Middle East (UAE, KSA, Qatar)
- Supervise multidisciplinary and multicultural teams across project phases
Requirements
- BSc Electrical
- 5+ years
- AutoCAD
- BIM experience
- Revit knowledge
- UAE codes
- Utility design
- Load calculations

- Report writing
- Stakeholder management
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred
- Proven infrastructure engineering background on large-scale projects
- Experience with primary substations, pocket/block substations and feeder pillars
- Prior coordination experience with UAE/Abu Dhabi/Dubai/KSA/Qatar authorities
- Strong digitalisation / BIM leadership and software skills
