Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage design and approval processes interfacing with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi/Dubai/UAE/KSA/Qatar authority guidelines
  • Apply expertise in BIM
  • Use relevant software; Revit knowledge is an advantage
  • Support concept to detailed master plan stages for utility coordination
  • Develop master plan reports, demand load calculations, and tie-in point requirements
  • Handle dry utilities and infrastructure projects from concept to IFC stages
  • Provide infrastructure engineering support, substations (primary, block work, pocket), feeder pillars, service turrets, MV (up to 33kV), LV networks
  • Design telecommunication infrastructure and GSM tower coverage
  • Plan street lighting for roads, ROW, and landscape lighting, including calculations and wiring
  • Coordinate with all local authorities in the Middle East
  • Clarify contractor RFIs, review/approve technical submittals for electrical and dry utility works
  • Drive digitalization, innovations, and workload/process improvements
  • Utilize leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and team environments
  • Manage multiple teams with culturally and geographically diverse backgrounds

Requirements

  • Civil3D electrical systems design
  • Experience with ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, BIM
  • Strong infrastructure engineering background
  • In-depth software knowledge for infrastructure design
  • Knowledge of authority guidelines (UAE, KSA, Qatar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years design experience (Construction supervision not preferred)
  • UAE National with family book (Emiratisation, UAE labor law compliance)
