Engineer, Fire Suppression Certification

Responsibilities

• Review customer applications and assess certification requirements against UL and EN standards
• Define testing and certification scope for quotation preparation and project planning
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinate testing activities with UL Solutions laboratories and external testing facilities
• Conduct or witness product testing at customer sites and third-party laboratories
• Prepare, review, and maintain technical reports and certification documentation
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert technical guidance
• Collaborate with Sales, Laboratory Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret technical standards in certification and testing environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in product certification, testing, inspection, or regulatory environments
• Knowledge of fire suppression systems or fire protection technologies
• Familiarity with UL, EN, CE, or other international standards
• Experience using project management tools and methodologies
