Engineer - Wet Utilities

Responsibilities

• Design and model water supply, firefighting, wastewater, and irrigation infrastructure projects using advanced software.
• Prepare reports and comprehensive design documentation for wet utilities projects.
• Conduct wet services modeling using various software packages, striving for modeling excellence.
• Validate modeling outputs with engineering calculations for accuracy and reliability.
• Deliver high-quality infrastructure design works on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with authorities for design approvals and NOCs (No Objection Certificates).
• Collaborate with CAD technicians, providing design input and guidance.
• Attend internal and external progress meetings, supporting senior engineers in action tracking.
• Mentor and support graduate engineers in their technical development.
• Adhere to company health, safety, and quality standards, including safety in design.
• Stay updated on UAE and KSA design guidelines and authorities' requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in design consultancy, specifically in wet utilities projects
• Professional recognition or actively working towards it
• Proficiency in wet utilities modeling software (WaterGEM, SewerGEM, StormCAD, Civil 3D, InfoSWMM, MIKE URBAN, Infoworks ICM, Bentley Hammer, ARCMap, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS)
• Strong knowledge of UAE and KSA design guidelines and authorities' requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with commitment to high-quality work
• Strong project management abilities; ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Innovative mindset with passion for developing efficient and sustainable wet utilities solutions
• Familiarity with local and international wet utilities standards and regulations
• Experience with AutoCAD and Navisworks
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in wet utilities engineering
