Engineering Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 coaching to Mento members through virtual sessions using the Mento Platform and Tools
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve coaching abilities and skills
• Communicate with members via Mento email or chat in the Mento App between sessions
• Act as an integral member of the Mento coaching community by sharing tools and insights
• Act with kindness, respect, and empathy as an ambassador of the Mento community

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading technical research teams in AI/ML, healthtech, space tech, or adjacent organizations
• Experience as a Director, VP, or other senior engineering leader
• Expertise in theoretical and applied AI/ML, large-scale modeling, computer science, or mathematical sciences
• Ability to dedicate a minimum of 12+ hours per month for at least 24 months
• Capacity to commit 3 to 5 hours per week
• Based in North America or Europe

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field
• Research leadership with publications or patents
• Experience working with PhD-level researchers
• Previous experience in high-growth global tech organizations or fast-scaling startups
