Engineering Manager, Ads

Responsibilities

• Mentor, support, and develop a team of software engineers
• Lead the delivery of Firefox Suggest Ads initiatives, including backend services and partner integrations
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to navigate ambiguity
• Ensure software is reliable, maintainable, and aligned with privacy standards
• Create a healthy team environment with clear communication and processes
• Participate in hiring and onboarding to grow the team

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 2 years of people management experience
• Track record of leading teams to deliver production software
• Strong judgment in prioritization and execution
• Familiarity with modern software development practices
• Ability to collaborate with product managers and partner teams
• Experience supporting engineers with varied skill sets
• Comfort working in a distributed, asynchronous environment
• Experience in search, ads, recommendations, or privacy-sensitive domains
