Engineering Manager - Developer Experience

Responsibilities

• Define and lead a brand-new platform engineering team focused on Developer Experience (DX)
• Own the "golden path" including deployment templates, CI/CD patterns, and onboarding flows
• Standardize AI-assisted development tooling and own the company's AI harness
• Track developer satisfaction metrics such as deployment lead time and golden path adoption
• Build the team from scratch, including hiring, culture, and setting technical standards
• Maintain a high level of hands-on involvement through coding and architectural decisions

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience with Python
• 2+ years in leadership or management roles
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD systems, internal developer portals, or golden paths
• Deep experience with Kubernetes-based platforms (cluster APIs, RBAC, admission control)
• Experience hiring and building engineering teams
• Product mindset for internal tooling
• Security-first approach to design
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go
• Fintech or regulated environment experience (PCI DSS, SOC2)
• Familiarity with JVM stack traces and build logs
