Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering teams through 1:1s, performance calibrations, career development, and hiring.
  • Drive execution by owning sprint planning, roadmap delivery, and managing scope and quality tradeoffs.
  • Maintain technical depth to review designs, challenge architectural decisions, and surface risks.
  • Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies and communicate tradeoffs to PMs and leadership.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to shape team strategy and roadmap prioritization.

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of engineering management experience with direct ownership of performance and hiring.
  • Experience managing teams of 4–10 engineers in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Technical depth in your team's domain to earn credibility with senior engineers.
  • A proven track record of reliable delivery and shipping high-quality software.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills to translate technical constraints for stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS or API-first company.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection, identity, device intelligence, or trust & safety domains.
  • Exposure to ML-in-production or working alongside data scientists and ML engineers.
  • Experience with data infrastructure, ML systems, or latency-sensitive real-time systems.
