Engineering Manager

About the Company

LumiMeds is a fast-growing U.S.-based telehealth startup focused on weight management and long-term metabolic health. We are building the next generation of e-commerce and clinical infrastructure from the ground up using an AI-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team of 4–8 full-stack engineers
• Design and operate Claude agent teams to parallelize engineering work at scale
• Maintain a player/coach role, spending roughly 40% of time coding and in agent pipelines
• Architect agent pipelines using the Claude Agent SDK for feature development, testing, and code review
• Build and own consumer app and e-commerce systems, including subscription billing and checkout flows
• Design and maintain A/B testing infrastructure and experimentation platforms
• Set technical standards for AI tooling, code quality, and observability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, and Ops teams

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a lead or management role
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, and React
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Demonstrated experience building and orchestrating multi-agent pipelines using Claude Agent SDK
• Production experience integrating LLMs (streaming, tool use, structured outputs)
• Proven experience building web A/B testing platforms and experimentation infrastructure
• Experience building consumer e-commerce platforms and user behavior tracking systems
• Familiarity with AWS, Vercel, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD
• Working knowledge of HIPAA/SOC2 requirements
• Fluent written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in telehealth, DTC health, or regulated healthcare environments
• Experience building internal agent frameworks or tooling layers
• Experience shipping consumer mobile apps with owned backends
• Background in distributed systems or real-time infrastructure (WebRTC)
• Public contributions or talks regarding AI-augmented engineering
