Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of around 9 engineers within the Runtime function
• Create a healthy, high-trust team environment with a focus on people management
• Drive planning, prioritisation, and execution across complex technical workstreams
• Negotiate timelines and delivery trade-offs with stakeholders
• Build technical context to understand architecture and translate it into executable plans
• Partner with technical leaders to unblock delivery and keep projects moving
• Improve team ways of working and delivery predictability in a distributed environment
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering or highly technical teams as an Engineering Manager or Technical Project Manager
• Strong people management skills and track record of supporting individual growth
• Excellent project and delivery management skills, including dependency management
• Sufficient technical depth to understand complex system architecture
• Comfort in a leadership and delivery-focused role rather than hands-on coding
• Experience working with distributed teams, ideally across Europe or aligned time zones

• Experience in similarly technical or infrastructure-heavy environments
