Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of 4+ engineers, owning growth, performance, and compensation
• Own hiring, interviewing, and team building
• Define and own the team's roadmap and technical direction
• Guide the team through complex technical initiatives and major refactors
• Champion AI-native engineering practices and the adoption of AI-enabled development tools
• Ensure platform health, security, and operational excellence through DevOps and on-call participation

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers
• Proven track record of delivering broadly scoped technical projects end-to-end
• Proficiency in modern web stacks (Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, AWS)
• Experience with scalability, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience or strong enthusiasm for AI-enabled development tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience with security and compliance in a SaaS environment (SOC2, vulnerability management)
• Experience managing production systems and observability tooling
