Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the internal engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Own engineering capability, quality, standards, and technical debt across digital platforms
• Manage strategic relationships with external vendor partners and hold them to staffing and capability standards
• Execute a roadmap to transition engineering functions from vendor-heavy to internal capacity
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, including debugging production issues and reviewing code
• Maintain platform operational reliability, uptime, and incident response

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years of engineering management experience
• Hands-on full stack background with ability to debug and contribute code
• Experience managing hybrid stacks including Salesforce (Apex, LWC) and modern web (React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node)
• Proven experience building or growing internal engineering teams
• Experience managing offshore vendor teams or consulting partners
• Experience transitioning work from vendors to internal teams
• Experience designing self-service models for marketing and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries (HIPAA, GxP)
• Experience in B2B and B2C dual-platform environments
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows
• Agile certifications such as CSM or PSM
