Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Build a healthy, high-trust team culture in a remote-first, globally distributed environment
• Manage people operations including 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding
• Own the team's hiring plan, acting as a Hiring Manager and partnering with Talent Acquisition
• Drive delivery by owning the team roadmap, project management, and stakeholder alignment
• Manage workflow intake, Slack triage, and maintain the team's SLOs
• Serve as an Incident Commander to drive coordination and lead blameless post-incident reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering background with the depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems
• 3+ years of experience managing remote, globally distributed engineering teams
• Experience managing teams within a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company
• Proven track record of effective performance management and navigating difficult conversations
• Excellent written communication skills with a "default async" mindset
• Ability to operate as a multiplier, coaching engineers rather than directing them

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with databases or developer-facing tools
• Experience working in high-autonomy environments with senior individual contributors
