Engineering Manager, Treasury

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to develop and execute the Treasury engineering strategy
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of full-stack engineers building Givebutter Wallet features, payment tools, and financial dashboards
• Own the Treasury engineering function, setting technical direction and ensuring alignment with company objectives
• Drive the development of same-day ACH transfer tools, card issuing systems, and QuickBooks integration
• Build and maintain financial infrastructure that enables nonprofits to earn rewards on their funds
• Ensure architecture and stack are optimized for security, reliability, and growth
• Improve internal engineering workflows and champion code quality
• Evaluate and apply AI and machine learning tools to drive innovation in financial product development

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in full-stack development (React, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP/Laravel)
• Hands-on experience building scalable fintech systems (payment processing, ACH, card issuing, or accounting integrations)
• 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ engineers
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, security, and data integrity
• Proven experience in people management, mentorship, and remote team development
