Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction across backend, frontend, data, and third-party systems
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a talented team of engineers
• Coach and scale engineering managers or team leads
• Take holistic ownership of complex systems spanning billing, accounting, and enrollment
• Partner with product, data science, and operations to align on strategic roadmaps
• Maintain balance between sustainable architecture and high-velocity shipping

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
• Proven track record of developing other engineering managers or team leads
• Deep technical expertise in backend, frontend, and data systems
• Experience building distributed services using Python and/or Go
• Experience owning complex transactional systems (billing, accounting, or enrollment)
• Ability to thrive in heavily cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HIPAA-compliant or regulated environments (fintech, health tech)
