Job description

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth in large, complex, and highly visible accounts.
  • Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, develop, and close sales pipeline, growing consumption in existing customer accounts.
  • Lead, drive, and execute strategic, complex sales cycles, demonstrating Confluent’s value at C-Level.
  • Become an expert and SME of Confluent offerings, product suites, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, strategies, and business goals to become a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with partner ecosystem teams to sell to or through the ecosystem.
  • Align with Solutions Engineering on technical wins, Professional Services for customer experience, and Customer Success for expansion opportunities and renewals.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in quota-carrying sales roles within competitive markets, focused on account/territory growth.
  • Experience in Big Data, Consumption, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions.
  • Sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger, etc.).
  • Successful history of executing complex sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve quotas.
  • Ability to articulate, educate, and sell business value to companies of all sizes.
  • Process development, improvement, and change management expertise.
  • Strong relationship-building, customer relations, and negotiation skills.
  • Open to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience serving public sector customers in UAE or MENA region.
  • Track record as a trusted advisor in consultative sales approaches.
