Job description
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the DoD market and contracts strategy, including prioritization of services, commands, and defense agencies
- Drive end-to-end business development and capture efforts, including opportunity identification and proposal strategy
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with DoD officials and defense industry partners
- Develop and execute an integrated DoD market strategy aligned with enterprise growth objectives
- Lead pricing, deal structuring, and margin management for complex contracts
- Establish and manage teaming arrangements, alliances, and joint ventures
- Navigate complex corporate and political environments to align internal teams around growth priorities
- Foster a culture of accountability, speed, and mission-driven execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in enterprise growth, government markets, or defense-adjacent industries
- Proven track record of winning and scaling Department of Defense contracts
- Deep familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and contracting structures
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
