Job description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and internal coordinator for external audits, surveys, regulatory reviews, and payer audits
  • Coordinate audit timelines, logistics, document requests, and evidence collection
  • Lead responses to federal, state, Medicaid, CMS, OIG, and accrediting body audits
  • Review audit findings and prepare responses to Statements of Deficiency (SODs)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans (CAPs) to address root causes
  • Conduct root cause analyses of audit findings to identify trends or control gaps
  • Maintain the audit repository, evidence files, and response trackers
  • Partner with Operations, Clinical, HR, Legal, Finance, and IT stakeholders to resolve documentation gaps
  • Present audit status, findings, and remediation progress to leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, legal studies, or compliance
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, auditing, or home care operations
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid-funded home care regulations and audit methodology
  • Proven ability to manage multiple audits, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing regulatory responses
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing Medicaid/CMS or state agency reviews and SOD responses
  • CHC, CHPC, CCEP, or similar compliance certification
