Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with large, complex businesses to integrate Sourcegraph into their SDLC
• Troubleshoot challenging issues and design custom technical solutions for customers
• Educate and enable technical admins on environment configuration and best practices
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to drive product improvements based on customer feedback
• Create technical content in collaboration with Marketing
• Design and implement efficient solutions for advanced customer use cases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional software engineering experience
• Experience in a technical, customer-facing role
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and AI coding landscape
• Strong scripting abilities across various languages and frameworks
• Experience running large-scale migrations, code modernizations, or platform upgrades
• Experience delivering technical solutions to customers or internal stakeholders
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience with on-premise and cloud-native architectures
• Ability to overlap with Pacific Standard Time for at least 10 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying, managing, or optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs) in production
• Experience in DevRel, DevEx, or Developer Advocacy
