About the Company

KoBold builds AI models for mineral exploration and deploys those models—alongside our novel sensors—to guide decisions on KoBold-owned-and-operated exploration programs. KoBold has become both the largest independent mineral exploration company and the largest exploration technology developer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning of complex exploration projects and moderate-scale development programs in North America
  • Manage procurement strategies including contractor selection, bid evaluation, and contract administration
  • Develop project-level risk assessments, mitigation plans, and critical control implementations
  • Lead end-to-end execution of assigned projects from mobilization through demobilization and closure
  • Track and forecast production rates, spend profiles, and resource requirements
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with US and Canadian mining, environmental, and land use legislation
  • Represent the company with local stakeholders including communities, landowners, and Indigenous groups

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of experience in field operations within mineral exploration, mining, or oil and gas
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methodology and terrain-specific construction
  • Advanced understanding of helicopter-supported exploration and emergency response
  • Strong understanding of procurement, reclamation, and closure planning
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety standards and incident management
  • Ability to work in remote and isolated locations for extended periods
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages like French are a benefit
  • Valid First Aid Certification (Level 3 or Wilderness First Aid preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with US federal/state or Canadian federal/provincial regulatory frameworks
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of Geologists and Data Scientists
  • Familiarity with project management principles across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience with complex remote logistics including camps, chartered flights, and drilling operations
