Field Solutions Engineer - Database

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end pre-sales technical strategy for database-focused customer engagements across EMEA
• Conduct compelling online and on-site product demonstrations of database monitoring solutions
• Lead technical discovery sessions to assess database infrastructure and recommend tailored solutions
• Execute complex Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Value (POV) engagements across multi-database environments
• Provide technical advisory to Sales teams and Channel Partners regarding optimal database solutions
• Translate technical database metrics into business outcomes for executive stakeholders
• Convey customer feedback and competitive intelligence to Product Management teams

Requirements

• 3-4 years in a dedicated pre-sales or solutions engineering capacity
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of database performance monitoring, query tuning, and capacity planning
• Proven experience with cloud-based database services like AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computing, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Fluent English with exceptional presentation skills; Arabic language is preferred
• Ability to travel regularly for on-site customer presence in Dubai and the EMEA region

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional, AWS Database Specialty)
• Experience with database DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE)
• Familiarity with value-based selling methodologies like MEDDIC or Challenger
• Experience responding to RFI/RFP/RFx processes
