Finance and Accounting Specialist

Metaschool produces courses for devs to build, ship, and learn Web3. We’re a decentralized, remote-first company with teammates based in Singapore, India and Pakistan.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with Singapore and US accounting standards (SFRS, US GAAP)
• File Singapore taxes (GST, corporate tax) and assist with US tax matters
• Work with outsourced accounting and compliance agencies in both the US and Singapore
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and maintain internal controls
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• At least three years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
• Strong Excel skills
• Familiarity with US GAAP and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or ACCA certification
