Finance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and own client-facing interactive financial dashboards and web apps
• Develop AI automations to streamline accounting workflows
• Write database queries to connect reporting to live client accounting data
• Resolve financial data discrepancies and variances
• Mentor accountants and operators to build their own tools
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to define and build requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
• 10+ years of combined experience in accounting/finance and software/systems development
• Deep knowledge of accounting, financial statements, and general ledgers
• Experience writing and maintaining code and database queries
• Experience building AI tools
• Proficiency with at least one accounting system (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics)
• Based in the United States
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification
• Proficiency in SQL

• $150,000 - $180,000 base salary
