Finance Lead

About the Company

Aztec Labs is a UK headquartered software development company building privacy products. We led the initial development of the Aztec Network, the first permissionless, decentralised and programmable privacy Layer 2 on Ethereum.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budgeting process and maintain operating forecasts and runway models
• Support capital allocation decisions and develop business metrics
• Manage cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
• Coordinate monthly and annual financial reporting, including board and investor packages
• Oversee accounting close processes through external providers
• Manage relationships with accounting, tax, and audit providers
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes and maintain finance policies
• Assist leadership with special strategic projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant finance experience
• Strong FP&A and financial modeling background
• Experience in startups, growth-stage companies, or venture-backed environments
• Experience managing external accounting and tax providers
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
• Ability to operate independently with limited structure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High ownership mentality and bias toward action

Preferred Qualifications

• Crypto, digital assets, or blockchain experience
• Treasury management experience
• Legal entity restructuring experience
• Board and investor reporting experience
• Experience operating in international organizations
