Financial Crime Investigator - MENA

Responsibilities

• Handle and review assigned cases within available SLAs, advising relevant stakeholders on next steps
• Maintain escalation log and ensure prompt review and resolution of all escalations to the team
• Maintain client off-boarding log and support off-boarding processes where required
• Escalate cases to team lead and relevant MLROs when suspicion or guidance is needed
• Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen SAR quality, ensuring consistency and accuracy
• Utilize compliance applications and programs such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, Kodex, World-Check, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of local laws, directives, regulations, and virtual currency policies
• Participate in internal and external AML/CFT and related programs
• Perform administration and ancillary activities in line with business requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3–5 years of investigations, SAR filing, audit, or regulatory experience at a financial institution or fintech
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Excellent attention to detail; action-oriented with high standards
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, analytical, and investigative skills
