Forward Deployed Engineer, Agentic Platform

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for North, Cohere's AI workspace platform
• Develop autonomous agents to interact with sensitive enterprise data
• Experiment at high velocity and quality to engage customers, delivering solutions that exceed expectations
• Work across the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to production
• Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout

Requirements

• Experience working directly with customers
• Strong Python programming skills; shipped Python in production environments
• Built and deployed performant client or server-side RAG/agentic applications
• Experience deploying enterprise software in private/hybrid cloud settings
• Strong coding abilities across the stack
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, and virtualization
• Thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Diverse engineering skill sets: backend, infrastructure, agent development, deployments
• Ability to work outside main codebase and troubleshoot effectively
• Adaptable and proactive problem-solving mindset
