Forward Deployed Engineer, Finance Solutions

Responsibilities

• Own business outcomes for a portfolio of enterprise accounts from kickoff through production
• Build semantic models for finance logic including revenue recognition, cost allocation, and GL hierarchies
• Manage source integration and mapping across ERPs, planning systems, and warehouses
• Lead working sessions with controllers, FP&A leads, and customer data teams
• Translate finance requirements into technical data models
• Provide specific product feedback to engineering to bridge product gaps
• Create reusable models, templates, and documentation to accelerate future deployments

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building with data in production
• Deep SQL fluency and comfort in Python
• Direct experience with cloud warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery
• Experience with transformation tooling such as dbt
• Real working knowledge of financial data and accounting processes
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in scoping and delivery
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to build playbooks from scratch

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ERP and planning systems like NetSuite, Workday, SAP, or Oracle
• Background in consulting, solutions architecture, or professional services at a data or AI company
• Experience working with regulated buyers
• Experience as an early technical hire on a customer-facing team
