Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure and Deployment

Preql helps enterprises clean, unify, and govern messy internal data so it actually works for AI, analytics, and reporting. We work with large organizations navigating complex data environments and high-stakes operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation and configuration of Preql using Docker images and Helm charts across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premise Kubernetes clusters
• Handle networking, identity, and access setup including private connectivity, SSO/SAML, IAM, and secrets management
• Design deployment architecture for each account based on SOW requirements
• Navigate customer IT environments to resolve blockers and lead enterprise security and compliance reviews
• Maintain production health in customer environments through monitoring, upgrades, and first response
• Develop release discipline, runbooks, install automation, and reference architecture documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering
• Experience shipping into production environments you did not control
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Depth in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Expertise in enterprise networking and identity (VPCs, SSO, SAML, IAM)
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and incident response
• High SQL and data infrastructure literacy
• Ability to work directly with customers on scoping and technical delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience packaging and shipping self-hosted or customer-managed software
• Experience navigating security reviews for banks or other regulated buyers
• Familiarity with enterprise data infrastructure and finance systems
