Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with a portfolio of customers through architecture sessions and integration design
• Plug the product into customer ecosystems via third-party data integrations and customizations
• Ship code and integrations using agentic engineering best practices
• Surface customer trends and patterns to partner with product engineering on the roadmap
• Translate technical requirements between customers, success managers, and product engineers
• Travel to customer sites in the US as required
• Help shape the FDE function, including operating models and success measures

Requirements

• Senior level engineer with significant production experience shipping end-to-end systems
• Expert in agentic coding workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) and orchestrating parallel agents
• Strong proficiency in design specs, prompts, evals, tool use, and context engineering
• Strong project management instincts to handle multiple customer engagements
• Clear and proactive communicator capable of switching between high-level and deep technical altitudes
• Deep empathy for users and a bias toward building platform leverage over bespoke patches

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in insurance, insurtech, or enterprise B2B
